About this contract

This agreement is for event organizers and emcees agreeing on hosting and announcements. Hiring an emcee does not automatically authorize unrelated endorsements or advertising.

Key points covered in this contract

  • Hosting commitments: hosting schedule, approved script, rehearsal, sponsor mentions, and microphone supply.
  • Payment and cancellation: the booking fee, payment dates, and what happens if the event moves or is cancelled.
  • Permissions and termination: the permissions included and how the engagement can end.

Frequently Asked Questions

Does hiring an event specialist make them responsible for all event safety?
No. A specialist can be responsible for safety within their work without controlling the whole event. Venue conditions, crowd management, and other suppliers may remain someone else's responsibility. Legal safety duties can also apply regardless of how the contract divides the work.
What happens if the event is cancelled or moved to another date?
Moving an event does not automatically move the performer's booking. The performer may be unavailable, and cancellation terms may still apply to the original date. Payments can depend on notice, work already done, committed expenses, and any valid cancellation fee.
