About this contract

This agreement is for event clients and decorators agreeing on décor, installation, and removal. Decorating does not automatically include overall event coordination or ownership of reusable props.

Key points covered in this contract

  • Decor specifications: approved décor, quantities, sold versus rented items, venue rules, and removal access.
  • Fees and changes: the fee and how cancellation, a new date, or added hours affect it.
  • Supplied items: which items are sold, rented, or supplied by the client.

Frequently Asked Questions

Does hiring an event specialist make them responsible for all event safety?
No. A specialist can be responsible for safety within their work without controlling the whole event. Venue conditions, crowd management, and other suppliers may remain someone else's responsibility. Legal safety duties can also apply regardless of how the contract divides the work.
What happens to event service fees if the event is cancelled?
Cancellation does not necessarily erase payment for work already done or expenses already committed. A valid cancellation charge may also apply. An advance payment may cover those amounts, with any remaining refund depending on the agreement and applicable law.
